Winter is coming to an end and I’ve got summer on my mind! When we got our dog, he decided that that patio furniture we had would be a good chew toy. We’ve been needing a new set of outdoor furniture so here’s my version! It might seem like a complicated project, but just take it one section at a time and you’ll have a new set of chairs in no time!

Directions
- Cut all of your pieces. Keep your wood organized by sections.
- Sand all of your wood. The amount of prep work needed will be determined by what type of wood you bought.
- Stain your wood. You will want to use an outdoor stain to protect from the elements.

- Assemble each section of the chair. Keep in mind, you will have TWO side sections.
- Note: make sure to predrill each hole with a small drill bit. This will keep the wood from cracking
- If you do not want to see the screw holes, then you can use a pocket hole jig. You can also fill your holes in at the end with wood filler.
- Once each section is assembled, we will put it all together.
- Attach the sides to the seat.
- Placing the back might be trickier if you only have one set of hands. I used clamps to hold my back on. Screw from the bottom and the sides. We want the back to be well attached.
- Once everything is attached you can fill the holes if you would like to. Place wood filler in each screw hole and wipe off the excess. Let it dry.
- Give the areas you filled a quick sand. We don’t want to be able to see the wood filler on the chair.
- Touch up the chair with stain. You will most likely have some areas that will need stained including the wood filler and the ends of boards you cut.
- Add your cushion
